Unicorp National Developments, Inc., Central Florida’s largest Commercial Real Estate Developer, and its affiliates, announces the sale of six shopping centers for approximately $263,000,000.00. The sale includes the following projects:
West Broad Village-Richmond, Virginia: 385,897 square feet of retail and commercial space, with an additional 339 residential apartment units. Major tenants include Whole Foods, HomeGoods, REI, Wells Fargo, Union First Market Bank, Dave & Buster’s, Mimi’s Cafe, Kona Grill, and Bonefish. The apartments have experienced strong demand and are currently 98% leased.
Central Florida: Five retail centers including Dellagio and Bay Hill Fountains (Orlando’s premier lifestyle centers) and three other smaller centers, which altogether comprise approximately 319,264 square feet. Major tenants include Walgreen’s, CVS, Fifth Third, Regions Bank, Fleming’s, Cantina Laredo, Big Fin Seafood Restaurant, Jos. A Bank, and Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse. The shopping centers are all approximately 96% leased.
Unicorp’s President and CEO, Mr. Chuck Whittall, was excited about the sale as the timing was advantageous with many new projects underway. New projects include I-Shops, which consists of a 600 room Wyndham hotel renovation, along with 100,000 square feet of restaurants and retail located at Sand Lake Road/International Drive, I-Drive Live, a 300,000 square foot entertainment complex consisting of a 415 foot tall observation wheel and two national attractions Madam Tussauds Wax Museum and Sea Life Aquarium , Casa Mirella, a 216 unit luxury apartment project in Windermere, The Falls, an ultra high end boutique retail center on Sand Lake Road, and Lakeside at Winter Park, another high end retail shopping center, all of which are located in the Central Florida area. Unicorp continues to look forward to growing its retail and apartment operations over the next several years.
